Action thriller Fuze, starring Aaron Taylor Johnson and Theo James, is now showing in cinemas across the United Kingdom after its release on April 3, 2026. Film enthusiasts in Eswatini who follow major international premieres can expect the title to arrive on streaming platforms in the coming months.
The Sky Original production is directed by David MacKenzie and written by Ben Hopkins. The story unfolds in central London where construction workers uncover an unexploded World War II bomb at a building site. Authorities order a large scale evacuation and shut down power lines to prevent disaster. Amid the confusion, a criminal gang uses the disruption as cover to execute a carefully planned bank robbery.
Aaron Taylor Johnson takes on the role of Major Will Tranter, a bomb disposal specialist called in to manage the threat. Theo James plays Karalis, one of the masterminds behind the robbery, while Sam Worthington appears as X. Gugu Mbatha Raw features as Chief Superintendent Zuzana Greenfield, who oversees the unfolding crisis from a police control centre.
The supporting cast includes Elham Ehsas as Rahim, Saffron Hocking as Military Sergeant Dootsie Keane, Honor Swinton Byrne as Clareese, Luke Mabley as Lieutenant Colonel Headley, Naveed Khan as Hardeep and Alexander Arnold as Martin.
MacKenzie said of the production: “Fuze is the first feature I’ve shot in London and I’m thrilled to be here. The cast and crew are the cream of British talent and I’m excited to roll camera.”
Producer Gillian Berrie said: “I’ve never felt more excited or in better shape to start principal photography. The script is rocking and our team are on fire. What a cast! This movie is going to blow your socks off.”
Filmed across London in the summer of 2024, the movie combines a bomb scare, a precision heist and a tense police response. As Major Tranter works to defuse the explosive device, law enforcement officers attempt to stay ahead of the robbers taking advantage of the emergency.
The British Board of Film Classification has rated the film 15, citing themes and prominent scenes of violence, blood and gore, torture methods, strong language, discussions around mental health and scenes of mass peril connected to the undetonated bomb.
The film is expected to stream exclusively on Sky Cinema and NOW at a later date.
