Pigg’s Peak buzzed with excitement as a roadshow building up to the celebration of His Majesty King Mswati III’s 40 years on the throne moved through the town, drawing strong community turnout and a festive atmosphere that reflected national pride and unity.
The activation, organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs in partnership with Pigg’s Peak Town Council, made its way from the Eswatini Post and Telecommunications offices towards the open area in front of Pep Stores, drawing residents out in large numbers to join the celebrations.
MC Sandile Dlamini, popularly known as Sweet Banana, kept the crowd entertained and engaged throughout the procession, while the Correctional Services Band provided lively music that added to the celebratory mood. Drum majorettes from St. Mary’s Lobamba brought colour and rhythm to the procession as it wound its way through the town.
