Antalya, Türkiye – Namibia’s Deputy Minister of International Relations and Trade, Jenelly Matundu, led her country’s delegation to the fifth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya, Türkiye, from April 17 to 19, 2026.

The forum was hosted by Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and brought together leaders, policymakers, diplomats, academics, business experts, media representatives and civil society from across the world. This year’s gathering was held under the theme “Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties,” which centred on the need to anticipate emerging issues, identify risks and opportunities, develop strategies, and turn insights into action to shape a better future.

On April 17, Deputy Minister Matundu took part in a panel discussion held on the sidelines of the forum titled “Engaging Women in Sustaining Peace: 25 Years after United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325.” The session marked a quarter century since the landmark UN resolution that recognised the critical role of women in peace and security processes.

On the same day, Matundu held a bilateral meeting with Palestine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Varsen Aghabekian, on the margins of the forum.

Throughout the three days, participants engaged in keynote addresses, panel discussions, interactive sessions and bilateral meetings, exchanging views on global trends, regional dynamics and possible solutions to pressing international challenges.
