Eswatini records 92,000 tourist arrivals in March

Mbabane – Eswatini welcomed 92,126 visitors in March 2026, a 7.8 percent increase compared to the same month in 2025, according to the latest monthly tourism statistics released by the Eswatini Tourism Authority.

South Africa remained the top source of tourists from the region, sending 49,610 visitors, though that figure was down 2.2 percent from the previous year. Mozambique came in second with 19,671 arrivals, a sharp jump of 30.3 percent, while Zimbabwe rounded out the top three regional markets with 6,602 visitors, up 33.8 percent.

Among overseas markets, France led with 1,801 arrivals, though that represented a 24.4 percent drop from March 2025. Germany followed with 984 visitors, down 21.6 percent, and the Netherlands came in third with 921 arrivals, a decline of 12.5 percent.

Taiwan, Australia and Italy were identified as the Kingdom’s top three emerging markets for the month.

The average length of stay for visitors during March was recorded at 1.77 nights.
