Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone, widely regarded as the world’s highest-paid football coach, is currently visiting Botswana’s Okavango Delta.
The Argentine tactician was spotted at Maun International Airport alongside an employee of Mack Air, a local air charter company based at the airport. He was then flown into the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its wetlands, wildlife and wilderness.
Simeone’s presence in Botswana comes as the country prepares to host aviation leaders at AviaDev Africa, the continent’s premier air travel forum, in Gaborone. Following engagements in the capital, airline leaders are also expected to visit the Okavango Delta.
