Ezulwini – The Ministry of Public Service, through its Management Services Division (MSD), on Thursday engaged representatives of the Joint Negotiations Forum (JNF), comprising the Government Negotiations Team and Public Sector Unions, in discussions on the Performance Management System (PMS) and the Total Rewards Strategy.
The engagement sought to strengthen understanding, foster collaboration and promote constructive dialogue on the implementation of the two initiatives, which are central to building a modern, high-performing public service.
Speaking during the engagement, JNF Chairperson Victor Nxumalo stated that performance management and employee rewards are complementary pillars of an effective public service.
He noted that while the Performance Management System provides a structured framework for setting expectations, measuring performance and promoting accountability, the Total Rewards Strategy ensures that employees are recognised, supported, developed and motivated to perform at their best.
