Sikhupe – A wave of celebration swept through King Mswati III International Airport on Tuesday as His Majesty King Mswati III, accompanied by Inkhosikati LaFogiyane, touched down in Eswatini following regional and international engagements.
His Majesty had attended the 46th SADC Heads of State and Government Summit in Durban, South Africa, and completed an official visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, before returning home to a jubilant reception.
Emakhosikati, members of the Royal Family, Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers, parliamentarians, members of various advisory councils and Lacwebetelako gathered at the airport to welcome the King home. 
The atmosphere was filled with traditional song, dancing and umgubho as Lacwebetelako waited with excitement and anticipation for His Majesty’s arrival.
His Majesty shared highlights from both visits, outlining key opportunities and developments arising from his engagements that could benefit Eswatini.
The King also reflected on Eswatini’s role as Chair of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation, noting the country’s contribution to regional peace, security and stability.
His Majesty congratulated Vuyelwa Karabo Simelane on winning the SADC Essay Competition and extended best wishes to all maidens preparing to participate in the 2026 Umhlanga Reed Dance.
From the airport, the King proceeded to the royal residence to formally brief the nation on his travels.
