DPM returns from Zambia

Sikhuphe – Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla has returned to Eswatini after representing His Majesty King Mswati III at the inauguration of Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema.

Dladla travelled to Zambia alongside Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Pholile Shakantu for the inauguration ceremony, following Hichilema’s victory in the presidential election.

Hichilema secured more than 60 per cent of the vote to begin his second five year term as Zambia’s President.

During the visit, Dladla conveyed warm wishes from King Mswati III to the people of Zambia, wishing the country continued peace, stability and economic progress.

She also expressed hope that Zambia’s economy would continue to grow and contribute to improved prosperity for its people.

Hichilema’s administration has received regional recognition for its efforts to stabilise Zambia’s economy and improve national welfare during his first term.
