African tourism leaders gathered at the Africa Travel Indaba 2025 in Durban to explore ways to boost the continent’s tourism industry through regional cooperation. The event was hosted by South Africa’s Minister of Tourism, Patricia de Lille.

Representing Eswatini, Acting Minister for Tourism and Environmental Affairs Skhumbuzo Dlamini joined ministers from Angola, Mozambique, and Zambia to share strategies aimed at unlocking Africa’s tourism potential. The roundtable offered a platform to address challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

Dlamini spoke about the importance of partnerships between neighbouring countries, especially for Eswatini, which is landlocked and heavily connected to South Africa. He said collaboration, not competition, is essential for regional growth and to attract more visitors.
