MBABANE — The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy and World Vision Eswatini have teamed up to improve access to clean water and sanitation across the country.
On June 6, 2025, the two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together on a project aimed at providing universal water coverage in 18 constituencies by March 2030. This partnership supports Eswatini’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 6, which focuses on clean water and sanitation for all.
The agreement was signed by Lindiwe Mbingo, Principal Secretary of the Ministry, and Tinah Mukunda, National Director of World Vision Eswatini.
The Ministry will guide the project’s strategic direction, oversee construction of water and sanitation infrastructure, and manage funding. It will also set up a Project Steering Committee and a Technical Working Group to ensure the work is well coordinated.
World Vision will handle the day-to-day implementation, making sure activities run on time and preparing reports on progress and finances.
