Her Majesty gifts new house to Nsingweni resident

MAPHALALENI – Forty-eight-year-old Nkosinathi Ngwenya from Nsingweni, Maphalaleni Inkhundla, received a new two-room house with a bathroom on Tuesday, a gift from Her Majesty Indlovukazi.

Ngwenya’s difficult living conditions came to light after emissary Ntombi Matse raised the issue with the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (DPMO). During discussions, Ngwenya also spoke about a neighbour facing similar hardships, who is set to receive assistance soon.

The house handover was led by Acting Deputy Prime Minister Jane Mkhonta-Simelane, joined by Hhohho Regional Administrator Princess Tsandzile, Chief Maloyi, and Principal Secretary Siboniso Nkambule. The project was carried out in partnership with the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA).

Mkhonta-Simelane congratulated Ngwenya and encouraged the Nsingweni community to remain hopeful, noting that the Nkwe mandate is active and working to meet the needs of all Emaswati. She said further support is anticipated through collaboration with the United Nations.

During the ceremony, emissary Matse presented Ngwenya with a bed donated by former Health Minister Sibongile Simelane and a blanket from Inkhosikati LaNkambule.
