Mbabane – The Municipal Council of Mbabane will host the first session of its masterclass series, “Smart City Living: A Masterclass in Local Government,” on Thursday, 28 August 2025. The event will run from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at the MVA Building Auditorium in Mbabane.
The inaugural session, titled “Property as an Asset,” invites property owners, urban residents, leaders, public officials, and professionals to explore municipal land valuation, property rating, and urban planning.
Chief Executive Officer of the Municipal Council of Mbabane, Ms Gciniwe Fakudze, said the sessions aim to equip citizens with practical knowledge about urban living. “Do citizens understand the value of holding title deed land, how it is valued, and what rating entails? Our aim is to unpack these elements, discuss zoning, green cities, and ensure that urban dwellers are informed,” she said.
Ms Fakudze added that the masterclass is designed to empower residents to make better decisions in their daily lives while living in Mbabane, the city’s smart city initiative.
