Eswatini international Justice Figareido has completed a move to Chippa United on a permanent deal from Richards Bay FC, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old forward was unveiled by the Gqeberha-based outfit through their social media platforms on 26 August. Figareido featured in 22 matches for Richards Bay last season, contributing two goals and two assists in all competitions.
The striker, who once turned out for Manzini Sundowns in the MTN Premier League of Eswatini, also played for Maritzburg United, Mbombela United, Cape Town All Stars and TS Galaxy in South Africa before joining Richards Bay in 2023.
Chippa said they were confident that the pacy attacker would add firepower to their front line during the 2025/26 Premiership campaign. “We look forward to seeing him lead the line and deliver a season full of goals,” the club said in a statement.
Alongside Figareido, Chippa also announced the arrival of forward Somila Ntsundwana from Richards Bay and defender Harold Majadibodu, formerly of AmaTuks. Other new signings in this transfer window include Sammy Seabi, Goodman Mosele, Abdoulaye S. Mariko, Elson Ayanda Sithole, Thulani Mini, Khaya Mfecane, Thamsanqa Magwaza and Azola Tshobeni.
The Chilli Boys face Richards Bay this evening at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30. They head into the clash sitting 15th on the Premiership standings with one point from their opening three games.
