killarney, South Africa – Daniel Cronje secured his maiden Betway Big Easy Tour victory at the eighth event of the season held at Killarney Country Club this week. The 25-year-old London-born South African finished the tournament at eight-under-par, three strokes ahead of his nearest rivals.
Cronje, who had narrowly missed out on previous wins including a playoff loss earlier this season, posted a bogey-free 32 on the front nine of the final round. Despite two bogeys on the back nine, four birdies helped him card a five-under 65 to clinch the title.
The tournament faced weather delays, but Cronje maintained his focus to finish strongly. He described the victory as the biggest of his career, noting the relief after several near misses. 
With this win, Cronje moved to second on the Order of Merit, edging closer to securing a Sunshine Tour card for the next season. The top 12 players on the Order of Merit earn entry into the Sunshine Tour, the main professional golf circuit in southern Africa.
The Betway Big Easy Tour serves as the feeder circuit for the Sunshine Tour and enjoys support from prominent figures including Ernie Els.
Final scores saw Ronald Rugumayo and Dillon Germshuys tied at 205, with Louis Liebenberg and Musiwalo Nethunzwi at 206. Oliver Goldhill and Travis Procter finished at 208, while Therion Nel ended at 209. Several players missed the cut, including local talent Mandla Dlamini Jnr and Makhetha Mazibuko.
