Police in Manzini are investigating a theft case after a 31 year old man from Ngwane Park reported that E60,000 was stolen from him while he was out socialising with friends.
The incident was reported to Manzini police on December 21, 2025, at about 07:00. According to information released by the Royal Eswatini Police Service, the complainant had been at a local bar in Ngwane Park on the night of December 20.
At around 01:00, the man decided to leave for home in the company of a friend. While inside the vehicle near his residence, both men reportedly lost consciousness due to intoxication. 
When they woke up the following morning, the complainant discovered that the money he had kept in his pockets was missing.
Police have since opened an investigation and are appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or have information that could assist the inquiry to come forward. The police said informants would be protected.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service has also cautioned the public against carrying large amounts of cash, warning that it exposes individuals to theft and possible physical harm.
