SA Defence Force seizes illicit cigarettes worth R3.4 million

Limpopo – The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) confiscated illicit cigarettes valued at over R3.4 million during an operation in Limpopo. The 1 South African Tank Regiment, deployed under Operation Corona, intercepted a White Hino truck at a Vehicle Control Point. The truck, coming from Zimbabwe, was found transporting the illegal goods into South Africa.

Following the discovery, the truck and its driver were handed over to the South African Police Service for further investigation and processing. Colonel Dikgabane Herold Tladi commended the regiment for their successful operation, which resulted in the significant seizure.
