MBABANE – The Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology, through its Department of Research, Science, Technology and Innovation (RSTI), hosted a Stakeholder Consultation Workshop to shape the first Strategic Plan for the Eswatini Young Academy of Sciences (EYAS).

The workshop brought together key figures from across the science, research, and innovation sectors to contribute to defining EYAS’s vision, mission, and strategic priorities for the next five years. The plan aims to strengthen coordination and advance science and innovation in Eswatini.

Participants shared expertise and ideas to create a framework that amplifies the voices of young scientists, encourages multidisciplinary collaboration, and bolsters the Kingdom’s scientific landscape.

The Ministry of ICT thanked all stakeholders for their input, noting that their contributions are vital to ensuring the Strategic Plan reflects the needs and aspirations of Eswatini’s innovation ecosystem.
