MBABANE – The University of Eswatini has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority to launch a Management Development Programme aimed at strengthening human capital in the country’s aviation sector.
The programme, delivered through UNESWA’s Entrepreneurship and Business Development Centre in collaboration with the Faculty of Commerce, will provide ESWACAA professionals with training in leadership, financial management, organisational behaviour and strategic decision-making.

ESWACAA Director General, Ms Andile Mtetwa-Amaeshi, said the initiative will develop human capital that is “strategic, adaptive, and innovative, ensuring our leadership is prepared for the complexities of a rapidly evolving aviation landscape.”
A notable feature of the programme is the integration of future-focused skills. Participants will take part in the “Mastering Generative AI for Professionals” course, supported by the UNESWA AI Academy, to equip leaders with the knowledge to use emerging technologies in institutional transformation.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Justice Thwala, described the partnership as a way to bridge “academic excellence and industry precision,” positioning UNESWA as a key contributor to national socio-economic development.
