Lusaka – Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema will travel to the Kingdom of Eswatini on Sunday for an official visit at the invitation of His Majesty King Mswati III, joining other heads of state and government for the Ruby Jubilee celebrations marking 40 years of the King’s reign and his 58th birthday.
Hichilema’s visit forms part of the double celebrations scheduled from April 24 to 26 in Mbabane, where dignitaries from across the region and beyond have gathered to mark the historic milestone.
Zambia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation confirmed the visit in a press statement signed by Minister Mulambo Haimbe, who said the invitation from King Mswati III reflects the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries, built on shared values and aspirations. 
The Zambian president is expected to return home immediately after concluding his engagements in the Kingdom.
