Lobamba – Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema has left the Kingdom of Eswatini and returned to Lusaka after holding bilateral talks with His Majesty King Mswati III.

In a statement issued after his departure, Hichilema said the two leaders engaged in “fruitful and cordial bilateral discussions on areas of mutual interest between the Republic of Zambia and the Kingdom of Eswatini.”

Before leaving, the Zambian president paid tribute to King Mswati III, describing His Majesty as “a steadfast and resilient custodian of Eswatini’s rich cultural heritage, preserving and promoting the values and traditions of his people with remarkable dedication.”

Hichilema also said the King “has led his Kingdom with a deep sense of love, faithfulness, and continuity, qualities that not only define his reign but also offer an enduring example for the rest of the African continent to admire and emulate.”

The president signed off by conveying his sincere gratitude to King Mswati III and the people of Eswatini for the warm hospitality shown to him and his delegation during their stay in the Kingdom.
