Harare – Zimbabwean President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa received the Secretary-General of UN Tourism, Shaikha Al Nowais, at his Munhumutapa offices in Harare on Monday afternoon for talks centred on positioning Zimbabwe as a premier global tourism destination.
The two discussed strengthening strategic cooperation, promoting sustainable tourism development and leveraging the sector as a key driver of economic growth, investment and job creation in the country.
President Mnangagwa reaffirmed Zimbabwe’s commitment to working closely with UN Tourism to raise the country’s international profile, pointing to its rich cultural heritage, diverse wildlife and renowned hospitality as key drawcards for international visitors.
