Mbabane – The Ingwenyama Cup Culture Finals will be held at Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday, May 10, 2026, with gates opening at 06:30 a.m. and the programme kicking off at 08:00 a.m. with a soccer social match.
The order of participation for the cultural categories is as follows:
Lutsango: KaLanga, Bhekinkhosi, Luvinjelweni and Buseleni.
Ummiso: KaLanga, Mbelebeleni, Dlangeni and Buseleni.
Sibhaca: Mbelebeleni, Kamkhweli, Buseleni and Maphalaleni.
Emajaha: Mkhuzweni, Buseleni, Kaphunga and Nkamanzi.
Timbongi: Minenhle Dlamini, Thulani Mkhatjwa, Sicelo Khumalo and Ntokozo Seyama.
Ingwenyama Cup Public Relations Officer Nkosilenhle Masuku conducted the official presentation of soccer kits and imvunulo ahead of the finals. He reminded the nation that tickets remain available at official outlets announced by PLE, and confirmed that tickets purchased since last week will remain valid on finals day. Masuku urged all participants and stakeholders to keep time.
PLE CEO Pat Vilakati added that the public should be aware of a few changes at the stadium and must enter through the correct gates according to their ticket level.
HRH Prince Hlangabeza, the Ingwenyama Cup Chairman, appreciated all working committees and sponsor SMVAF for their dedication to the tournament. He encouraged respect throughout, reminding the nation that the Ingwenyama Cup belongs to all emaSwati and that everyone is expected to participate with dignity.
“Everyone is a winner in the Ingwenyama Cup,” Prince Hlangabeza said, while also urging the nation to adhere to road safety precautions. On behalf of His Majesty King Mswati III, His Royal Highness presented the soccer kits and imvunulo, wishing all finalists success at Somhlolo.
Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Bongani Nzima praised His Majesty King Mswati III’s vision behind the Ingwenyama Cup and the spirit of Nkwe, describing the tournament as a unifying event for the nation through sport and culture. He applauded cultural teams for their discipline, condemned riots at soccer fields and pleaded for peace, while also encouraging adherence to road safety protocols during the finals.
SMVAF CEO Khangeziwe Mabuza extended appreciation to Their Majesties and to Prince Hlangabeza for their guidance throughout the tournament. She encouraged the nation to be road safety ambassadors, wished all competing teams the best at Somhlolo, and called on emaSwati to arrive dressed in their cultural gear.
“Looking beautiful and proud as we celebrate football and heritage together,” Mabuza said.
