Mbabane – Eswatini welcomed 99,884 visitors in April 2026, a 10.1% increase compared to the same month in 2025, according to the latest monthly tourism statistical release by the Eswatini Tourism Authority.
South Africa remained the Kingdom’s biggest source of tourists, sending 56 259 visitors, though that figure represents a slight dip of 1.8% from April 2025. Mozambique was the second largest regional market with 20 285 arrivals, a sharp jump of 31.3%, while Zimbabwe came in third with 7 423 arrivals, up 41.4% year on year.
On the overseas front, the Netherlands led with 1 139 arrivals, a modest 1.0% increase, followed by France with 1 108 visitors, up 17.4%. The United States rounded out the top three overseas markets with 952 arrivals, a marginal dip of 0.2%.
Among emerging markets, Lesotho, Zambia, and Brazil were identified as the top three sources of growing visitor numbers to the Kingdom.
The monthly average length of stay for April stood at 2.1 nights.
