SADC Executive Secretary Elias M. Magosi will lead a Secretariat delegation to the 2026 Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank Group in Brazzaville, Congo, from 24 to 30 May 2026.
The meetings, which bring together Ministers of Finance and Economy, Central Bank Governors, private sector leaders, civil society representatives, academics, parliamentarians and media practitioners, will be held under the theme “Mobilizing Africa’s Development Financing at Scale in a Fragmented World.”
This year’s gathering is expected to tackle debt and development financing, trade, climate change and sustainability, energy security and inclusive economic growth, all of which are priorities closely aligned with the SADC Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan for 2020 to 2030. 
For Eswatini, which is a SADC member state, the discussions carry direct relevance as the Kingdom navigates its own development financing needs and works to strengthen regional trade and economic integration.
The SADC delegation will take part in plenary sessions and high-level knowledge seminars organised by the African Development Bank Group. The team will also hold bilateral meetings with senior bank leadership and international cooperating partners to advance the region’s development agenda, mobilise resources and build strategic partnerships.
The annual meetings serve as a key continental platform for dialogue on poverty reduction, economic transformation, human capital development and resilience building across Africa.
