Mbabane – The Ministry of Labour and Social Security on Wednesday opened a two-day National Skills Training Levy Stakeholder Consultative Workshop at the Hilton Garden Inn, bringing together key players from across the public and private sectors to deliberate on the possible establishment of a national skills training levy.
Principal Secretary Makhosini Mndawe opened the proceedings, speaking to the importance of investing in skills development as a key driver of economic growth, youth empowerment, productivity, and national competitiveness in Eswatini.
The workshop draws representatives from government, employers’ organisations, workers’ organisations, higher education institutions, development partners, and the private sector. 
Stakeholders are expected to share experiences, discuss possible models suitable for Eswatini, and contribute recommendations that will help shape an inclusive, practical, and transparent framework supporting national development priorities.
