Lagos – Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake has released the official music video for Gratitude, a track from his latest album M$NEY, while announcing a sweeping world tour that will take him across North America and Europe later this year, with South African DJ Uncle Waffles joining as a special guest.

The video for Gratitude was directed by Edgar Esteves and Asake himself, and is released under GIRAN Republic and EMPIRE.

The song blends Yoruba, Pidgin English and English, and is built around a theme of thankfulness and resilience. Floating over a jazz-tinged string arrangement, Asake’s voice carries a quiet resolve, urging listeners to stay grounded, let go of criticism and hold onto gratitude regardless of what life throws at them. The track draws on Yoruba philosophy, referencing orí, the concept of personal destiny, while grounding its message in very contemporary imagery, including the now-familiar Nigerian experience of receiving a bank credit alert as a sign of blessing.

The In God We Trust Tour kicks off on 7 April in Portimão, Portugal, before heading to North America from August with dates in Chicago, Toronto, Laval, Brooklyn, Lowell, Columbia, Atlanta, Miami, Houston and Los Angeles. The tour then crosses back to Europe with shows in London on 15 October and Paris on 24 October. Tickets are available at album.money.

Asake has built one of the most remarkable runs in Afrobeats in recent years. Since breaking out in 2020, he has grown into a global force, currently holding the record for the most entries on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart with 62 entries, and was recently named the most-streamed artist on Spotify Nigeria. His album M$NEY follows the 2025 joint EP REAL, Vol. 1, which he recorded alongside Wizkid.
