MTN Bushfire got off to a fiery start on Thursday night as the Vutsa Umlilo Opening Ceremony set the tone for what promises to be another unforgettable edition of one of Africa’s most celebrated music and arts festivals at the iconic House On Fire Amphitheatre in Malkerns.
The opening night brought together the Africa Rising Music Conference delegation for a powerful meet-and-greet before electric performances on the House On Fire Amphitheatre Stage sent the crowd into a frenzy, delivering exactly the kind of energy that has made MTN Bushfire a landmark event on the continental cultural calendar.
The evening was designed to ignite early connections between artists, delegates and festival goers ahead of Thursday’s Arts Round Table, with the performances doing all the talking on the night.
The Africa Rising Music Conference, which runs alongside the festival, continues to position Eswatini as a hub for creative industry conversations, bringing together musicians, producers, industry leaders and cultural practitioners from across the continent.
