Maseru – Graduates of the Sebabatso programme have completed a three-day e-commerce and artificial intelligence training at American Corner Maseru in Lesotho, aimed at shifting young entrepreneurs from traditional business models to digitally powered enterprises with global reach.
The training, which concluded on Wednesday 3 June 2026, covered a broad curriculum across three focused days.

On the first day, participants were introduced to the foundations of online retail, identifying opportunities in both the United States and local markets for Basotho youth. They created their own Shopify accounts, explored dashboards, selected themes, and learned how to price products and build curated collections.
The second day turned to artificial intelligence, with entrepreneurs learning how to use AI tools ethically to streamline their businesses. Through hands-on workshops, participants generated product descriptions, crafted social media captions and developed a distinctive brand voice, while also covering digital marketing essentials including SEO and email automation.
The final day focused on turning functional websites into profitable businesses. Participants mapped out payment and delivery logistics tailored specifically to conditions in Lesotho, and wrapped up with sessions on reading user analytics, improving customer experience and implementing scalable growth strategies for sustainable long-term businesses.
