Malkerns – Journalists, photographers, videographers and content creators have until 12 July 2026 to apply for media accreditation to cover the 8th edition of the Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival, set to take place on 1 and 2 August 2026 at House on Fire in Malkerns.

This year’s edition will for the first time run across two full weekend days, with organisers anticipating an attendance of over 12,000 people from across the continent and beyond.

Guided by the theme “A Return to the African Future,” the 2026 festival will feature culinary storytelling through the Nguni Foodways theme, a fashion runway show under the Kwasukasukela fashion theme rooted in African oral tradition, a Pan-African music lineup and experiential zones celebrating the heritage and creativity of the continent.

Accreditation is open to journalists and media professionals from national, regional and international newspapers and magazines, radio and television stations and networks, relevant online publications and digital platforms, and travel, food and fashion writers and bloggers.

Accredited media will have access to press conferences, the opportunity to request interviews with artists, and front of stage access for photos and short videos. A dedicated Media Hive equipped with power and wireless internet will serve as the festival’s centre for media information and interviews.

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the Media Accreditation page at www.lujufestival.com/media-accreditation. All applicants are also required to complete a media form from the Kingdom’s Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology before accreditation can be confirmed.

Spaces are limited and final selections are made at the festival’s discretion. Successful applicants will be notified by 17 July 2026. Accreditation does not include travel or accommodation, and media are encouraged to book lodgings early as nearby accommodation fills up quickly.

All media queries should be directed to communications@house-on-fire.com.
