Mbabane – The Central Bank of Eswatini on Thursday morning, July 2, 2026, welcomed officials from the Common Monetary Area (CMA) attending a high level quarterly meeting aimed at supporting regional macroeconomic and financial stability.
The meeting follows a previous engagement held in Namibia in March 2026.
Deputy Governor Felicia Dlamini-Kunene, in her opening remarks, challenged delegates to strengthen the resilience of economies in the region and ensure stability in the financial systems.
“To navigate the evolving landscape, we must focus our attention on maintaining price and financial stability and preserving the credibility of monetary policy frameworks,” she said.
The session precedes the CMA Governors’ Meeting scheduled for Friday, where Governors will discuss global economic developments and receive updates on the financial stability of the CMA region.
The CMA comprises Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia and South Africa.
