Taipei – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has arrived in the Republic of China (Taiwan) for an official visit, where he will represent His Majesty King Mswati III at the 10th edition of the Ketagalan Forum: 2026 Indo-Pacific Security Dialogue in Taipei.
The Prime Minister and the Eswatini delegation were welcomed at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport by Taiwan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, François Chih-chung Wu.
Speaking to the media on arrival, the Prime Minister conveyed warm wishes from His Majesty King Mswati III and the people of Eswatini, and spoke about the importance of the relationship between the two countries. 
“The Kingdom of Eswatini highly values its longstanding and trusted friendship with the Republic of China (Taiwan). Ours is a partnership of principle and progress, strengthened by mutual respect, shared values, and a common commitment to improving the lives of our people,” he said.
He added: “I am confident that this visit will further consolidate the excellent relations between our two countries and open new avenues of cooperation that deliver lasting benefit for present and future generations.”
At the Ketagalan Forum, Prime Minister Dlamini will deliver a statement on behalf of His Majesty the King, presenting Eswatini’s perspectives on global issues. The forum, organised jointly by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, brings together international democratic partners to advance regional peace, democracy and prosperity.
The Prime Minister is listed among the keynote speakers for the forum, alongside US House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Emeritus Michael McCaul, former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin and former Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, both of whom are making their first visits to Taiwan.
Beyond the forum, Prime Minister Dlamini is expected to hold high-level bilateral engagements with President Lai Ching-te and other senior Taiwanese leaders. The discussions are expected to cover opportunities for expanding cooperation in trade and investment, technology and innovation, health, agriculture and skills development.
He will also visit a number of mega projects during the stay.
