Manzini – The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (DPMO) took its services to the public during this year’s Reed Dance season, running an off-site stall at Pavilion 2 of the Eswatini International Trade Fair as part of its ongoing commitment to child welfare and community empowerment.
King Mswati III, accompanied by guests, visited the DPMO stall where he met Sifiso Maseko, a young man living with a disability who has converted a standard wheelchair into a motorised vehicle fitted with lights, indicators and a hooter, all powered by a rechargeable battery.
Sifiso demonstrated his invention to the King and the visiting delegation, drawing attention to what the DPMO described as an example of youth creativity and resilience in the Kingdom. 
Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla also visited children living with disabilities at Ludzidzini as part of the office’s engagements during the Umhlanga period.
The DPMO stall at the trade fair gave members of the public the opportunity to engage with government programmes supporting vulnerable households and to learn about initiatives aimed at strengthening community resilience across Eswatini.
