Paris Saint-Germain secured a 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night, clinching a 3-1 aggregate win to book their place in the UEFA Champions League final.

The French side entered the match with a one-goal advantage from the first leg and extended it in the 27th minute when Fabian Ruiz fired a deflected volley into the bottom corner of the net. Arsenal, despite bringing high intensity and fielding key players like Bukayo Saka, Martin Ødegaard, and Declan Rice, struggled to break through a resilient PSG defense anchored by goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The Gunners came into the semifinal needing at least two goals to advance but lacked a clinical striker presence, with Kai Havertz still sidelined by injury. Donnarumma was pivotal throughout the match, producing a series of crucial saves that frustrated Arsenal’s attack and disrupted their rhythm.

Achraf Hakimi all but sealed the result in the 72nd minute with a precise finish that sparked jubilant scenes inside the stadium. Although Arsenal pulled one back minutes later with a scrappy goal, it was too little too late.

The result sends PSG into their second-ever Champions League final, set to take place on May 31 in Munich against Inter Milan. The Parisian club, rebuilding after the exit of star forward Kylian Mbappé, is now on the brink of claiming its first European title.
