Tourism leaders from Eswatini, South Africa, and Mozambique convened on the sidelines of Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025 for a high-level Interministerial meeting aimed at reviewing the progress of the Triland partnership.
The meeting took place at the Southern Sun Hotel in Durban, South Africa, and formed part of the official Indaba calendar. It brought together key stakeholders from the three neighbouring countries under the shared vision of regional tourism development.
Representing Eswatini was the Acting Minister for Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Honourable Sikhumbuzo Dlamini. He joined Mpumalanga’s MEC for Economic Development and Tourism, Makhosazane Masilela, and Mozambique’s Secretary of State for Tourism, His Excellency Fredson Bacar. 
Officials used the closed-door session to assess strides made by the Triland partners in promoting cross-border tourism and to discuss practical steps for deeper collaboration. The meeting also served as a platform for setting priorities for future joint initiatives across the region.
Later in the day, delegates attended a networking cocktail hosted by the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency.
