Eswatini reviews pandemic fund and one health charter

Mbabane, June 3 — Directors and senior officials from Eswatini’s key ministries gathered today at the One Health Directors Forum to review the country’s application for the global Pandemic Fund and validate the One Health Charter. Representatives from international organisations also took part in the meeting.

The forum focused on strengthening Eswatini’s approach to managing health risks at the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health. Validating the One Health Charter aims to embed this collaborative framework within national health policies.

Officials plan to complete an internal review of the Pandemic Fund application over the next two days, with submission scheduled for Friday, June 6. The One Health Charter will be circulated again to gather further input before its official launch.
