MBABANE – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade has launched the 8th edition of the Eswatini Quality Awards, with companies and organisations across all sectors invited to take part.
The awards were officially launched by Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo, who announced that entry forms are available on the government website www.gov.sz. Submissions close on 30 September 2025 at 12 noon.
Khumalo said adopting quality standards and systems not only improves competitiveness but also supports the country’s progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. He cited standards such as ISO 22000 for food safety, ISO 14000 for environmental management and ISO/IEC 15189 for medical laboratories as critical in safeguarding health, life and the environment.
This year’s awards will be contested in six categories: Company or Organisation of the Year, Product of the Year, Service of the Year, Exporter of the Year, Quality Ambassador of the Year and Conformity Assessment Body of the Year. Categories from one to four are open to both MSMEs and large enterprises.
The ministry said the awards are designed to showcase excellence, innovation and commitment to quality in Eswatini’s business sector.
