Police make multiple arrests across Eswatini

MBABANE – The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) reported a series of arrests across the country between 21 and 28 August 2025, covering cases of murder, attempted murder, theft, and drug possession.

In Hluthi, a 24-year-old man from Lombikwako was charged with the murder of a 19-year-old boy who was stabbed on 24 August 2024 at Sitfwetfweni.

In Matsapha, a 20-year-old man from Boyane was arrested for the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man on 24 August 2025. The victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at RFM Hospital.

A 34-year-old man from Mkhuzweni was arrested in Siphofaneni for possession of 115.945 kg of dagga without a licence or permit.

In Lobamba, three men aged 30, 48, and 29 from KaNdinda, Mdumezulu, and Dvudvusini were charged in connection with the theft of five air conditioner units valued at E210,000 from Woodlands Centre Hall on 25 August 2025.

Manzini police arrested a 30-year-old man from Logoba for attempted murder after a 25-year-old victim was stabbed twice in the stomach at a watering hole on 23 August 2025.

In Sidvokodvo, a 32-year-old man from Sigcineni was charged with attempted murder following an attack on a 22-year-old man from Endzeleni, who was repeatedly hacked with a bush knife on 23 August 2025.

REPS reminded the public that the police remain a safety and security buffer for the nation in partnership with stakeholders and urged citizens to report suspicious activities by dialing 999, 9999, or 112.
