Ezulwini community joins church clean-up campaign

Ezulwini – The Ezulwini Municipality CEO, Mathokoza Shongwe, participated in the Green Anglicans Clean-Up Campaign at St. Matthias Anglican Church, Mvutjini, on 11 October 2025. Shongwe planted a tree during the event, symbolizing partnership and environmental renewal.

The campaign brought together the Anglican Church Diocese of Eswatini, led by Reverend Dr. Dalcy Dlamini, community leaders, the Eswatini Environment Authority, and local residents. Participants worked together to clean the area and promote sustainable environmental practices.

Shongwe said caring for the environment is both a civic duty and a spiritual responsibility. The initiative united the church, municipality, and community in efforts to build a cleaner and greener Ezulwini, with a focus on small, lasting actions such as tree planting and community engagement.
