Moneni Pirates appoint Mandlazi as head coach

Moneni Pirates Football Club has appointed Coach Mathews “Chaka Chaka” Mandlazi as its new head coach following the completion of internal processes by the club president and the board of directors.

The appointment was confirmed this week by the Manzini based side, which said Mandlazi has been engaged on a short term contract aimed at addressing the club’s immediate technical and performance requirements. The club said details regarding the duration and terms of the agreement will remain confidential between the parties.

The Buccaneers said the decision forms part of their ongoing rebuilding process as they seek to restore competitiveness and return the club to a stronger position within domestic football.

Mandlazi, who is described by the club as a seasoned and respected tactician, is already in the country and is expected to officially assume his duties next week. He is set to begin training sessions with the squad as the club ushers in a new technical direction.

The coach brings extensive experience from previous stints with several local clubs, with Moneni Pirates citing his football philosophy, discipline and understanding of the Eswatini game as key factors behind his appointment. The club said these attributes align with its values, ambitions and fighting spirit.
