Mbabane – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade has announced new board appointments for selected parastatals as part of government efforts to strengthen governance, accountability, and institutional performance across public enterprises.
The Eswatini Competition Commission’s board now includes Mr Miccah Nkabinde as Chairperson, representing the Eswatini National Pension Fund, with members Mr Welcome Ncobizwe Nxumalo from the Economic Association of Eswatini, Ms Renata Ntshangase from the Ministry of Finance, Ms Noncedo Ncedile Dlamini of the Eswatini Institute of Accountants, and Mr Mandla Ntshakala from the Consumer Association of Eswatini. The board combines expertise in leadership, law, finance, accounting, engineering, and consumer protection, supporting the Commission’s mandate to regulate markets and safeguard consumer interests.
The board of the Swaziland Enterprise Development Corporation, SEDCO, has also been appointed. Dr Mandlenkhosi Dlamini will serve as Chairperson, with Ms Beauty S Mavuso as a member. The new board is expected to provide strategic guidance as SEDCO continues to promote and sustain micro, small, and medium enterprises across the Kingdom.
