Mbabane – Police are seeking 40-year-old Thulani Ginindza of Motshane, originally from Magubheleni, in connection with the murder of his 30-year-old wife. The gruesome killing occurred on the morning of January 2, around 0700 hours, the Royal Eswatini Police Service reported.
According to police, Ginindza returned to his workplace in Mbeka, Mankayane, on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025, but is believed to have returned home later the same day without being noticed. On New Year’s Day, his children found him asleep at home and asked about their mother’s whereabouts. The deceased had not been home when he arrived.
In the early hours of the day, Ginindza reportedly took two of the children to a nearby forest to collect firewood. When they returned, their mother had still not come home since leaving Wednesday afternoon. Shortly after, she appeared at the family house, and Ginindza followed her inside.
Moments later, the children heard loud arguments and their mother’s cries for help. Alarmed, one of the children ran to a nearby spaza shop to raise an alarm. Members of the community responded quickly, but by the time they arrived, the suspect had already killed his wife. Police confirmed that the victim had been stabbed more than sixteen times before Ginindza fled the scene.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service is appealing to anyone with information that could lead to Ginindza’s arrest to contact the numbers provided by police. The public’s assistance is vital to bringing the suspect to justice.
