MBABANE – Local entrepreneurs gathered last Tuesday for an intensive workshop on building sustainable businesses, led by U.S. entrepreneurship educator Cynthia Hellen. The event, hosted in partnership with the U.S. Embassy Eswatini, focused on “Growth, Monetization & Analytics for Founders & Creators.”
Hellen, who has trained over 100,000 entrepreneurs worldwide and served as a U.S. Department of State Speaker, shared strategies drawn from her experience building entrepreneurship ecosystems across multiple countries. She told participants that “most businesses don’t struggle because of a lack of effort they struggle because the pieces don’t connect.”
The workshop covered key areas including: how to build for long-term growth, practical monetization strategies, the value of partnerships in creating opportunities, and the critical metrics founders should track. Hellen noted, “Most businesses & creators do not need more ideas; they need clarity and direction.”
The U.S. Embassy thanked Hellen for offering actionable guidance and helping local founders think strategically about building, scaling, and sustaining their ventures. Appreciation was also extended to the U.S. Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs for supporting the initiative.
