PIGGS PEAK – The Eswatini Tourism Authority has begun implementing its Accommodation Grading Programme, a national initiative aimed at raising service standards across the country’s hospitality sector.
The programme, facilitated by 3T Business Fusion, is designed to improve the quality of accommodation establishments and strengthen Eswatini’s position as a competitive tourism destination.
On Monday, trained Grading Assessors and Committee members carried out a mock assessment at Maguga Lodge as part of preparations for the nationwide rollout. The exercise followed intensive training in South Africa conducted by 3T Business Fusion, equipping the team with the skills required to assess facilities against recognised grading criteria.
The Tourism Authority said the mock inspection allowed assessors to apply their newly acquired knowledge in a real setting, testing systems and evaluation tools ahead of official assessments.
Assessments are set to continue throughout the week as the Authority prepares to formally introduce grading for accommodation establishments across Eswatini.
