MBABANE – The Eswatini Tourism Authority Board today took part in an Accommodation Establishments Grading exercise at Mountain View International Hotel, as part of efforts to raise standards across the country’s tourism sector.
The session, facilitated by 3T Business Fusion, combined classroom based theory with hands on practical assessment, giving board members direct exposure to how accommodation facilities are evaluated and rated.
The exercise is guided by the Eswatini Tourism Authority Grading of Accommodation Establishments Regulations under Section 27, Subsection 3. It forms part of a wider strategy to strengthen quality assurance and position the Kingdom as a competitive player on the global tourism stage.
The grading system seeks to improve the quality and consistency of accommodation establishments nationwide, while offering a trusted and internationally recognised marketing tool for operators. Graded establishments benefit from improved credibility and stronger market appeal, gaining increased visibility in both domestic and international markets.
Tourists and tour operators also stand to gain, as the system provides reliable information to help them make informed booking decisions. For hospitality businesses, the process encourages ongoing improvements and service excellence in line with regional and international standards.
