EEC announces power outages for 8 April

Mbabane – The Eswatini Electricity Company has announced planned power interruptions on Wednesday, 8 April 2026, across multiple regions for routine maintenance. Residents are advised to treat all electricity structures as live during these periods.

In Manzini, areas including Dombeya, Transworld Radio, Dalcure, and Panata Ranches will experience outages from 10:00 to 16:00 due to closing span work. Makholweni, Sicelwini, and Hillside Primary and High School will have new connections installed from 11:00 to 14:00.

Malkerns Hluti will see power interruptions in Gebeni, KaGwebu Store, and emaPlazini from 09:00 to 16:00 for rural project construction. Pigg’s Peak areas, including Nginamadolo, Nsangwini, Nginamadolo Primary School, and Ndzingeni West MTN, will undergo bush clearing, dual line stringing, and project works between 09:00 and 16:00.

Siteki CBD, Madzeleni, Lubombo Central, C.T.A., and Moyeni will experience outages from 09:00 to 16:00 for tree felling. In Mankayane, Nkanjini, Mpolonjeni, and surrounding areas will have rural construction work from 10:00 to 16:00. Madlangempisi, Croydon, and Etalukatini are also scheduled for rural construction between 09:00 and 16:00.

The company apologizes for any inconvenience caused during the maintenance works and urges the public to remain cautious around electricity structures.
