MBABANE – The Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) has announced planned power interruptions across Manzini, Malkerns, Pigg’s Peak, Siteki, Big Bend and surrounding areas on Thursday, 9 April, and Friday, 10 April, 2026.

The outages are part of routine maintenance and project works, including transformer uprating, new connections, dual line stringing, and high and low voltage construction. Affected areas in Manzini include Ngculwini, Lomantjonga, Mkhombokati, and Mdumezulu, as well as key sites such as Mdumezulu Primary School and Mdumezulu Clinic. Other regions affected include Gundvwini, Ndoda, Thembeni, Lesibovu, and surrounding communities.

Power will be interrupted during specific periods each day, with most outages scheduled between 09:00 and 16:00. Some areas, such as Nkanjini and Mpolonjeni, will experience shorter interruptions. EEC has urged the public to treat all electricity structures as live during the maintenance period and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
