GABORONE – Former President Festus Gontebanye Mogae of Botswana is receiving medical care at a hospital in Gaborone after falling unwell, the Office of the President confirmed on Tuesday.
A statement from the office said Mogae’s condition is stable and urged citizens to keep him in their thoughts and prayers.
“The Former President remains in a stable condition,” the statement read. The office added that it will provide updates on any significant developments regarding his health.
The public has been asked to respect Mogae’s privacy during his recovery
