Mbabane, Eswatini – The National Agricultural Marketing Board (NAMBoard) has announced that all horticulture farmers in Eswatini must register on the Eswatini Horticulture Information System (EHIS) starting 1 May 2026. The registration requirement applies to all farmers, whether they are contracted with NAMBoard or not.
NAMBoard said the EHIS platform will strengthen the horticulture sector by improving data collection, increasing market visibility for local produce, and expanding access to buyers and new opportunities. The system will also support national production planning, ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, and monitor supply and demand across the country.
Farmers can register through two options. Self-registration is available online at https://ehis.co.sz or via the EHIS mobile application. Required details include personal information, farm size and location, irrigation systems, crop types, production volumes, and market preferences.
Assisted registration is available by calling +268 7802 7437, where NAMBoard officers will help farmers submit their information.
“All horticulture farmers are expected to comply with this directive from 1 May 2026. Registration is essential for strengthening market coordination, protecting local production, and improving access to opportunities within the horticulture sector,” NAMBoard management said.
Farmers seeking further assistance can contact Mr. Sydney Dladla, Head of Agri-Business, on +268 7605 3159.
