Mbabane – The Eswatini Revenue Service has announced that payments for Ministry of Commerce services will no longer be processed at its service centres from 1 May 2026, with clients now required to make all such payments at Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation post offices across the country.
The announcement, issued through a public notice by ERS Commissioner General Brightwell Nkambule, affects transactions for services such as company registration, liquor licences and trading licences.
“Clients requiring these services are advised to make their payments at EPTC Post Offices nationwide,” Nkambule said.
The change removes ERS service centres as payment points for these Ministry of Commerce services entirely, redirecting all clients to the country’s network of post offices. The move is expected to improve accessibility given EPTC’s broader national footprint, particularly in areas where ERS facilities may not be readily available.
The development follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed between ERS and EPTC in September last year, which opened the door for emaSwati to pay for government services at local post offices. The collaboration forms part of Phase II of the Revenue Takeover Project, which centralises non-tax revenue collections under ERS.
Through the partnership, government services that previously required clients to travel to regional or central ERS offices will now be accessible at more than 30 post offices nationwide.
