Hundreds of emaSwati turned out at Mandvulo Grand Hall in Lozitha on Saturday, April 18, 2026, to present gifts to King Mswati III as the nation marked his 40 years on the throne and his 58th birthday.
Individuals, companies and organised groups came bearing everything from fruits, vegetables and electronics to tractors, a car, cattle and cash. By the end of the day, 251 cattle had been presented, while cash contributions from individuals and companies totalled E18,230,836.00.
Speaking at the occasion, the king expressed gratitude to all who attended and contributed, describing the event as a reflection of God’s grace. He told the gathering that the overwhelming support would help ensure the success of the upcoming double celebration.
“This celebration belongs to all emaSwati,” the king said, calling on the nation to remain united as the country marks the milestone.
He added that the gifts received would help ensure that those attending the celebrations share in the joy of the occasion, reinforcing what he described as the spirit of togetherness that continues to define the nation.
